Sundays are for Homemade Spiced Chai Latte's

We love chai in our home and make a variety of chai teas with different creams and milks all the time! Creating recipe's for us is definitely like a science experiment, I make one, my love makes one and we continue to perfect & evolve them as we go! This is my favorite spicy blend with extra black pepper & ginger to give it fuller kick.

What you need:

2 cups of water
1 tablespoon of your favorite black tea (or 1 tea bag)
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon of ginger powder (or 2 tablespoons of freshly grated ginger)
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon of cardamon powder
1 cup of milk or creamer - dairy-free works great too (I used homemade almond milk for this recipe)
2 tablespoons of coconut sugar

What to do:

1. Place water with spices & black tea in sauce pan.
2. Bring pot to a boil then lower heat to medium for 5 min.
3. Turn water off and allow to steep with cover on for another 10 min.
4. Strain liquid and pour in blender.
5. Add milk and coconut sugar to blender.
6. Blend on high for 2-3 min. (this is what makes it nice and frothy)
7. Pour into mugs and sprinkle with cinnamon.

I always double this recipe, because well...everyone always wants a little bit more!

Enjoy with love,

Christina ❤
