Goji Berry BBQ Sauce -- All natural Refined Sugar Free RICH in antioxidants

We love having this Goji Berry BBQ Sauce as a marinade on all meats or as a sweet and spicy dipping sauce around the house!! Some of our families favorites are to slather it on a whole organic chicken and roast it,  braise short ribs in it or slow cook a pork shoulder.

Also known as the wolfberry, goji berries originate from the Tibetan Himalaya Mountains. They have a reddish-orange color and they are shriveled or wrinkled much the same way raisins are. They are rich in nutrients and have gained massive popularity over the past decade. The nutritional facts of goji berry have led them to be called a super fruit.

The goji fruit is rich in antioxidants such flavonoids, polyphenols, carotenoids and vitamins C, E and A. Goji berries have 500 times more vitamin C per weight than an orange. They also have on average more beta-carotene than carrots. The combination of these two facts, along with the high content of flavonoids, polyphenols, carotenoids give goji berries strong antioxidant properties that have many health benefits. Some of these health benefits include improving and strengthening the immune system, help our bodies to fight infection, support overall eye health, and rid our bodies of disease causing free radicals.

Cooking Goji's: Chinese medicine also considers raw food  harder to digest, and dried fruits, having such intensely concentrated sugar are considered damp producing,  so to get the full benefit of Goji they were cooked and the essence extracted into a digestible form.
