Homemade Raw Almond Butter

Fresh ๐Ÿ˜‹ Clean ๐Ÿ’งSimple ๐Ÿ‘

I love making almond butter from scratch, it tastes so much better then any jar bought version. It takes 10 minutes to prepare. The oil content is low as most commercial brands add extra oil leaving a pool of oil on top.  You do need a food processor to make Raw Almond Butter.  It's kind of a waiting game making almond butter in the food processor taking 10 minutes from start to finish. Ready to spread over apples, toast or straight from the jar!

Ingredients:

1 cup of raw almonds (non gmo)

1/2 teaspoon of sea salt

1 tablespoon of coconut oil (optional)

Instructions:

Place the almonds and salt into the food processor, lock the lid in place and turn on.  The processor will quickly turn the almonds into flour, allowing it to keep processing.  The flour consistency begins to get sticky and sticks to the sides of the processor (about 3 minutes).  At this point, stop the processor and scrape the sides.  Turn the machine back on and allow to process until a thin butter forms at the bottom of the food processor (about 7 minutes).  If you desire a slightly more oily texture, add coconut oil now.  Puree until fully combined.
