Simple Chocolate Bark ❤






Minimally processed raw chocolate contains many vital vitamins and minerals: 
  • Magnesium, and other essential minerals such as calcium, sulfur, zinc, iron, copper, potassium, and manganese, polyphenols, antioxidant rich flavonoids
  • Vitamins: B1, B2, B3, B5, B9, C, E
  • Essential heart-healthy fat: oleic acid a monounsaturated fat
  • Protein
  • Fiber 

This is a really simple and quick recipe to make your own minimally processed chocolate at home in 20 mins.  Plus, it's fun to make with your girlfriends, kids or for your man.

  • 9x9 inch glass baking dish
  • Small Sauce Pan
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 2/3 cup cacao powder
  • 1/4 tspn of salt
  • 4 tbsp raw honey, coconut nectar, maple syrup or coconut sugar
  • if you are on a low-sugar program you can use 4-8 drops of vanilla stevia 
  • 1/4 cup of berry blend / trail mix / chopped almonds or other nuts of your choice (I used a blend of goji berries and mulberries)

Melt Coconut Oil on low in a small sauce pan
Add cacao powder, salt and sweetener 
Stir until fully combined
Save the trail mix, berry mix or nuts until the end

Pour the melted chocolate mixture into a 9x9 inch glass pan, sprinkle the berry, trail or nut mix on top of the chocolate.  Place in freezer for 10 min or until chocolate hardens. Once hardened, flip the baking dish onto a cutting board and brake with your hands into different size pieces.
