Siracha Cauliflower Bites
Ingredients
- 1 head cauliflower; chopped smaller - bite size pieces
- 1 cup of brown or white rice flour / almond or hazelnut meal (for grain free)
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of smokey paprika
- pinch of fresh black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 2 organic eggs
- Parchment Paper
Sauce
- 1 tsp. Coconut Oil or Butter; melted
- 1 cup of Sriracha or Frank's Red Hot Sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450F.
- In a small bowl, combine all dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly with a whisk.
- In a separate bowl whisk together the eggs.
- Dip cauliflower pieces in the egg mixture until coated evenly, then place in the bowl with the dry ingredients, covering completely.
- Place on parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until the batter hardens.
- Whisk together siracha and the coconut oil or butter in a small bowl.
- When the cauliflower is finished, remove from the oven and dip in siracha mixture until cauliflower is fully covered.
- Bake coated cauliflower for an additional 10 minutes, or until cauliflower is crispy, and sauce looks absorbed.
- Remove from oven.
- Let cauliflower bites set out for at least 20 minutes before serving.
